instinct is an amazing thing… all winter my turtles (terrapins, sliders, and cooters) beg for food like spoiled lap dogs… but when I take them out to the pond for the summer they scatter to the bottom and under the plants as though they’ve never seen me before… only the two old girls who were raised in a classroom will come to me to be fed… survival of the skittish
