I was feeding my dbt Frankie in the container I always feed him in, and I left him in for a few minutes unattended. I heard a thump, and found him sitting on the floor, right side up. He fell 2 and a half feet and landed on his stomach, I feel like such a bad mommy! I checked him out and his shell seemed fine, and he started squirming right away like he usually does, and I put him back in his tank and he was swimming like he was fine. I was wondering if there could be any internal damage that could be left unnoticed and if I should take him to the vet… his shell measures about 4″ from head to tail, and he’s a little over a year old. Thank you.. ๐

Attachments : I have 2 DBT’s that climbed out of their feeding tub and took a walk off the counter a 3 feet drop, to find they were then trapped by my 3 small breed dogs barking in their little faces giving me time to find them before running off. And all turned out fine. I think the shell protects them better then we would believe it could. Attachments :I also have a little guy that dropped about three feet after escaping from his feeding tank. It was maybe a month ago, and although I was horrified, he seems fine and more than willing to try it again!Hicks Dbts
