Happy belated christmas everybody! Today I bought these great little Tetra EasyStrip 6-in-1 aquarium test strip. The problem is that there is a chart for testing freshwater and a chart for testing saltwater… normally that would be fine, but I have a brackish tank and I’m not sure which chart to use. Thanks, Brandon Hauser Also does anybody know a good refractometer for the money?

It’s much easier to use a Hydrometer … for my brackish water, I just make sure it reads *just above the green mark*. They’re cheaper than the EasyStrips in the long run and much more accurate. http://www.petsolutions.com/C/Aquarium-Hydrometers/I/Glass-Hydrometer-Thermometer.aspx Sandee http://www.sandeeland.com/fishcam (and my turtle too)

I’m using the strips for nitrites and nitrates because I am cycling my tank right now and want to monitor everything… I actually just bought a hydrometer and it should be coming in the mail soon! :)Thanks, Brandon Hauser
