Hi! I noticed that we have a range of people here who are interested in dbts and I was curious when and how everyone got started with dbts (plus, I am a little nosy-LOL). It seems that there are so many knowledgable poeple on the board, and I know that you all didn’t get your dbts from the Chinese grocery like I did! So anyway, you already know that I got interested in dbts when we rescued ours from an Asian Grocery in Cleveland. That was last May so it hasn’t been very long. I’ve still got a lot to learn so I’m thankful to have everyone here. Anyone else want to share? Rowena
Rowena, I got my first dbt from Chun a few years ago. It was only about 3 1/2″ at the time. It turned out to be a male so I ordered one from the same guy that Chun had gotten his from and bought a “guaranteed” female. That is how I got my second male Rosy. I got my big female from a friend that had a friend taking care of her for him. The guy didn’t know what he was doing so she has a very bumpy shell. My others I got in trade or hatched myself. They are all Ornate dbts. Vickie
