Attachments :I am selling a female “Leopard” phase Chesapeake terrapin for $500. This is the second one I’ve ever found after seeing 20,000 terrapins. The odds of getting on is 1/10,000 from nature. The previous one sold for the same price. Like the previous one (see pictures under vidusa) the dots on the head are perfect and few round black circles. Same with hands and feet. Unfortunately, this one refused to leave the shell for a good picture of its head after waiting a half an hour. If interested call me at 410-451-0723 or email at vidusa_2000@…. I’d recommend calling. If you notice a little pink, that is because it was pulled out of 12-15 foot waters from hibernation. The pink is blood that rose to the skin from the change in water pressure. It does not affect the health at all and will disapear in about 2 weeks. All terrapins I had sold previously had this and none died because of this. Marguerite Wilden can also confirm this. The terrapin is in perfect health, and is actively swimming around outside today in 60 degree weather. The money from selling the terrapins will go towards purchasing pens for saving diamondbacks destined for the food markets. My goal is to raise $20,000 to set up pins that could handle 1,600 Diamondbacks. I estimate from what I’ve seen that 12,000 terrapins are removed from the chesapeake each year. I’m currently working with Marylands DNR for such a project. Mark Ledbetter __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? The all-new My Yahoo! – Get yours free! http://my.yahoo.com

Mark, I have 2 DBT’s and my male looks just like the one you have pictured here. What makes this so rare?? Are there specific markings to determine if mine is rare too…I don’t want to sell it or anything, just wondering if it’s rare like yours. Thanks, Gail — Mark Ledbetter
