Many of you who have been on this group for the past few years are familiar with Lisa Lee. For those of you who aren’t, you can view the archives for her posts and see that she was a very enthusiastic terrapin keeper and made many, many friends on this group. Some of you are also aware that she suffers from cystic fibrosis and her immune system is compromised as a result of it. As one of the oldest survivors of CF, she is currently going through an extremely difficult time. Her deteriorating lungs and heart problems had caused her acitivity level and participation in the group to dwindle in the past few years to the point where she was recently bumped up to number 1 on the list for a lung transplant. However, before she was able to have the procedure, she was hospitalized for gallbladder surgery among other things. Doctors discovered she had a hole in one of her lungs and in fact, her lungs collapsed twice, bringing her very near death. Her brain was affected from the lack of oxygen, as is her ability to walk. On top of that, she is suffering from blood clots as well. Just wanted to let everyone know since I know she has many friends in this group and some of you will want to pray for her recovery. NO WAY! WHAT!!! Oh I really hope she is okay….. it doesn’t seem that long ago I was talking with her and I had no idea. She is definitely in my prayers. If there is anything at all I can do for her….. Michaela
