Okay all you Macro experts, I have a question. Most of the Macros in our group seem to have very light colored heads (Some with spots and some without) and dark shells with light colored center scutes. My question is, are there Macros with dark grey heads and black shells with dark center scutes? Vince

Yes, they can have dark grey skin but even the darker scute centers should stand out from the rest of the scute. In other words, if you’ve seen a macro with dark grey skin and a solid jet black shell, then that’s not a pure macro. -Chun

Hey Chun, The shell isn’t solid jet black. The center scutes stand out just a little, but not as much as most of the ones in the group. It could very well be a mixture. I’ll try and post a picture of it after the holidays. Vincent — In diamondbackterrapins@y…, “Chun-Ming Chew”
