I managed to get to the Chinese grocery this week. It was pretty disappointing on most counts (though it might be better than if they were teeming with dbts). There were a lot of frozen soft shells, several bags of live frogs, and crabs. I found two live turtles in a box, neither of which was a dbt. One was fairly small, about 5-6 inches long, so I’m surprised s/he was in there. Didn’t get a good look at what type of turtle it was bt the skin was a little rough and stripey. The other one was pretty big–at least 8 inches long, and not looking like s/he would make the trip home. So I guess it was good that there were no dbts to rescue, though I wonder if they actually had some earlier that didn’t make it (that wouldn’t be good). I’ll see if they get anything new before I head ho

Rowena– It’s too bad your trip to the market was not more succesful Good thing I didn’t have my heart set on one. Maybe next time. Elsie
