Dear All, The last time I posted, my message was with regard to the terrible service I was receiving from the mega-ray/reptileuv company. Having been very dissapointed by the lack of service I was receiving, I put in a dispute with my credit card company for the defective bulb I received. About a week and a half ago, I received an email from UPS telling me that a package was on its way from MAC industries (reptileUV). Yesterday, I received the package. Even though I had already disputed the transaction, ReptileUV and Bob MacCargar still sent me a new 100W lamp. I went on their website (I think those who have had issues with them should do the same, http://reptileuv.com/uvb-meter-owners/problems-with-reptileuv.php) and found a brief explanation regarding the issues they were having. Although the explanation was a bit late, I was still very appreciative of it and their attempt to make things right. While I regret that things had escalated to the point that they did, I am now much more understanding of their predicament. Having said that, I will once again give reptileuv another shot when my new bulb burns out (which will hopefully be a long time from now). While I cannot say this new bulb is not defective, I do appreciate the gesture. I am not writing this to convince those who have sworn off reptileuv to give them another chance. Instead, I feel that it is only fair to let you all know what they did for me. It would have been unfair to take the bulb without letting you all know of the actions that they had taken. I hope this message is at least enough to send people to their website. Thanks for listening. -Miguel

Yes, I also visited their website about a week ago and I read the same thing that you did. I had NO idea that they were such a small, tiny, tiny company run by just a few family members, etc…………….but still, if Bob had any business sense at all or even just a little bit of customer service savvy, he could have told all of us his sad story about a year ago and ReptileUV most likely wouldn’t have taken all the vicious “hits” that they have on all the reptile forums. I do feel sorry for him and his situation…………….I just wish he would have handled this whole mess a whole lot better!!! Anyway, I agree with you Miguel, I will give the poor guy some of my money again once he gets the External Ballast bulbs back in stock, but who knows when that will be???? Thanks for the update!
