It’s time again for the Mid-Atlantic Reptile Show at the state fairgrounds in Timonium, Maryland (right up the road from the Baltimore Zoo and National Aquarium in Baltimore). MARS is a captive-bred only reptile expo (show and sale), with all proceeds from admission going to buy rainforest in critical habitat areas. Even if you don’t buy anything, you’ll be helping wildlife just by attending the show. There is always lots of great supplies and art work for sale. You can’t find UVB lights any cheaper than after 3 PM on Sunday, although they may be sold out by then. Compared to other shows, MARS is light on chelonians for sale, because it’s captive-bred only, and MD strictly enfources the 4″ regulation. As usual, MATTS will have an educational display table at the show. So if you’ll be there, please stop by and say hello.
