hello everyone! i saw all the discussion on live plants and have a couple of questions myself. i was wondering what plants have seemed to work well in brackish water tanks with your diamondbacks? My female, Lotty, loves to dig everything up, so i want something that can take a little abuse. it seems as though she hates it when anything is planted (even plastic plants) and goes around terrorizing her tank. also, are there any plants that terrapins don’t like to eat? b/c she also eats EVERYTHING. it seems as though it will be hard to find a plant that meets this discription, but i do think she will enjoy it (as well as i) thanks again–Lindsay
Personally, I have not been successful keeping plants in brackishwater, to say the least keeping them in a brackishwater tank with terrapins! Don’t really know of any that can tolerate the salinity. Kara mentioned that anacharus (elodea) could be acclimated to brackishwater but I never did have any success doing that. -Stephen — In diamondbackterrapins@yahoogroups.com, “nikkicoco11”
