I have two 2-yr old terrapins and I’m moving from Southern CA to Baltimore. I’m wondering if anyone has any advice on how to do that. I’m driving across country, but I’m wondering if I can ship them. When I purchased them they were overnighted to me by DHL, which sounds cruel, but it seems to have worked. Any advice?
I think the risks will be less with you taking them with you. You would only have to be concerned with keeping them cool while grabbing a bite to eat. If you ship them, you have the following risks: 1) that they are properly cared for after you leave, 2) that they are packaged properly for shipping, 3) that DHL doesn’t lose them, 4) that DHL keeps them in a controlled environment at all times.
