Hi, Anyone know anything about feeding fresh mussels? I bought one, black, about 1 1/2 inches. Not sure if it’s alive or not, but it floats, tight as a drum. I can’t imagine the turtle prying it open, but does it? Dick

Dick, I don’t know how big your DBT is, but mussels are part of their natural diet in the wild. They don’t pry them open, they crush them. Hmmm, maybe a fully grown female could crush it but I doubt a male could. Keep us updated on this one! -Chun — In diamondbackterrapins@yahoogroups.com, “rmbion”
