hello i am proud to say that i finally have my 2 dbt’s hatchlings they are about one month old and i adore them…….i have a 30 gallon turtle tank for them with a submersable heater,basking lamp and uv lamp……my question is how long is it normal for hatchlings to sleep. i’ve noticed that they sleep most of the day and i’m not really sure if it’s b/c their babies or hibernating…….when does hibernation start?b/c they go into such a deep sleep. they are eating fine i feed them twice a day. and the water temp is around 78 degrees. i just want to make sure i am doing everything right so they can enjoy their new home. by the way i purchased them from the serpents den in pa. i pre ordered them in aug and steve held them for me until i was ready to bring them home. steve is great to deal with and has many beautiful dbt’s. i would really appreciate feedback and would love any other suggestions that u have for me regarding hatchling lifestyles. ……………………………….thanks mary
