i have a 1 month old hatching that i received from a breeder and it wont eat what should i do ? i placed pellets in the tank and he wont eat. its been 2 days
Hi Ian, My baby dbt wouldn’t eat the pellets I gave her . . . she didn’t eat anything for a week after we found her in the middle of the road. Then we were advised to feed her frozen brine shrimp or raw shrimp, etc. (she likes the brine shrimp the best) She wouldn’t eat those either til we put her and the food in the water. Then she started eating like a champ! I don’t know if your turtle eats the same type of food, but if she/he is a swimmer, try putting everything in the water and see what happens. You could try with the pellets in the water, too. Also, if you use a seperate area for feeding (I use a large tupperware) it helps to keep the tank clean. I am sure you will get lots of good advice from everyone here. They really helped me a lot! Good luck! NicoleIan
