My terrapin won’t eat

Hi, I wouls like to konw how to treat my terrapin cause my terrapin has been refused to eat anything for 1 week and I found that his eyes are swollen and i have read from the article, said it lacks of vitamin A is that anyway I could treat my terrapin beside buying vitamin A products.

The same exact thing happened to my dbt. All of a suddden she stopped eating, and her eyes became so swollen that she couldn’t see anything. I took her to the vet and the vet gave her a vitamin A shot. That didn’t seem to work that well after two weeks so I went back and he gave me eye drops to put in her eyes twice a day. He also stressed the importance of a proper tank setup. I found out that she got sick because winter came and where I had her tank was too cold. I moved the tank to my bedroom, out of the cold hallway, and she came right back to health with the help of those eyedrops and the warm environment. Make sure her basking area is around 90% amd her water is between 74 and 79 degrees. Hope this helps! I also want to thank everyone else for helping me with my new 40gallon tank setup. Thanks Caryn Asmann , Thanks for your valuable advice, i would bring my terrapin to bring it to the vet. When you put eyes drops on your terrapin eyes u will place her in the tank or u place her outside before you put her to the tank. — Caryn Asmann http://sg.biztools.yahoo.com
