need help identifying mystery turtle

My next door neighbor has just been given what she was told are two “Australian yellow striped turtles” I have not seen them yet: Google search gives only turtle necks and crochet stuffed animals. She was told that they are vegetarians and only eat the pelleted food (containing shrimp)and to not feed them fish or worms or they will grow too big! Needless to say, I am glad that, what ever they are, they have a new owner that will take much better care of them. Is anyone familiar with the “Australian yellow striped turtle”? Any alternate names? I am thinking maybe a slider? Pictures to follow. Holly
