As most women with children may be able to attest, when the oxytocin begins to flow there is not much concern for the location of delivery. The release of oxytocin seems to correlate with environmental factors. Low pressure fronts and especially thunderstorms or rain have almost always stimulated nesting in females that are ready. Water changes indoors work ok as well when the atmosheric pressures are low. Time will also cause this; if factors are not right then they will oviposit sooner or later anyways, even under the water.
