Hello, Im new here and have a few questions. I tried the search feature with NO luck so here is the question. Could anyone clarify the laws for owning Terps in NJ. I believe its legal to own but illegal to buy/sell. I rescued the 3 I have from a younger siblings friend whom had them in small bowl/tank with no filtration and fed them ground beef. I would guess they were about 7-9 months old now and healthy as could be. I will post pics soon, but the MAIN question is this… I was hoping to find them a forever home as I cared for them with no luck. What would be the “legal” way of finding them a home? I want to sell the equipment I have if and most importantly adopt them out to someone experienced. I thought of speaking with aquariums. According to the Atlantic City aquarium webpage they have a D-back tank, maybe camden aquarium does as well and they would be willing to take them in? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you! Thanks

Here are the regulations for diamondback terrapins in New Jersey: N.J. Regulations, Subchapter 21. Terrapin Regulations: “Subchapter historical note. Subchapter 21, Terrapin Regulations, was adopted as R1981 d.198, effective July 9, 1981.
