Thanks to Floyd and Joe on their replies about the Poly-Filter media. I bought the large 12×12 pad about a 2 months ago and have been using it ever since (changing it out when it turns dark, dark brown), but I think it needs a little more time to do its thing. From all that I have heard and read, I know that this is an excellent product, I just need to keep using it until I get these nitrates under control in conjunction with the water changes. OK, one more question out to the wonderful world of Turtleland: I’m having trouble finding a reliable Nitrate Test Kit. I have already tried the Seachems and the Aquarium Pharmaceuticals brands. The problem is their color charts……all the colors blend into each other and you can’t tell if your Nitrates are 40, 80, or even 100! Does anybody out there have a kit that has a color chart that is user friendly? Many Thanks, Jimbo —- “Floyd wrote:=============Poly-filter is an excellent product.
