There is an interesting old “real photo” postcard for sale on Ebay of Mr. Barbee, the “Terrapin King” of Savannah, Georgia, measuring the plastron of a large female dbt and holding two others. I purchased a postcard showing a couple of views of the Barbee “pounds” or pens and advertising their canned terrapin, but for a lost less than this card is now bid.
