My new hatchling seems to want to hide in the tank at times. He/sde goes up near the filter and under the basking areaa. I would like to put plants of some type. I am afraid real ones may carry the snails which can be a problem. Is there something I can treat store bought water plants with to kill any parasites/diseases or should I stick with a plastic plant. Someone else mentioned putting a small plant pot on its side as well. What do you think? ~Francie Mom to 3 russian tortoises, 2 cats, 2 cockatiels, 1 dog, 3 hermit crabs, 3 three-toed box turtles, 1 teddy bear hamster, 3 dwarf african frogs & 2 goldfish~ __________________________________________________Do You Yahoo!?Tired of spam? I just used plastic plants. They look nice, are cheap, and never die 🙂 The only problem I’ve found with them is they FLOAT, so you’ll either have to bury the base of them, or tie a stone to the base to keep them sunk. Some plastic plants look REAL nice…Francie
