Hello everyone, i want to use live plants in my db tank and was wondering about substrates. i don’t want anything complicated, just some vegitation for the tank to increase the natural look. an few questions…1) what plants are recommended for a brackish tank, that can take a little abuse at first and don’t mind being replanted? i don’t want floating plants. 2) i thought about using some florite for a substrate, along with the coral bedding and sand that i have in there right now, has anyone experienced problems with florite 3) my db likes to chomp on the coral bedding in the tank. she doesn’t eat it, but none-the-less bites at it, will it hurt her to chomp on the florite? any advice would be wonderful. thanks again–Lindsay
Anacharis is good for the tank but your turtles may eat it. I think amazon swords can be acclimated for salt as well. Not sure about the florite. But it would be ok if your dbt did eat the coral – it is a good source of calcium and all of mine love it. At 05:49 PM 10/09/2003 +0000, you wrote:
