well, i bought a 50 gallon rubbermaid tub (much longer than deep) and a fluval 204, an air pump, and a plastic plant. everything seems MUCH better for my terrapin, but there is a problem. i used large gravel to help build up my basking area. it seems as though my terrapin is especially hungry ALL THE TIME, so i noticed her eating one of the tiny gravel pieces typically in the bottom of the bag of gravel. i once had a frog that ate the gravel bedding in it’s tank and became impacted, so i made sure this gravel was too big to eat. well…somehow it ate it. i think it is okay though because it was such a tiny piece. my question is, do any of you use any gravel or other bedding in the tank? or is that not wise because of the nature of terrapins???? thanks–Lindsay
