hello, i have a female db, and here in my area there was an ice storm that knocked out all the power in most all of the city. i was stuck in a different location, and my db was in very very cold water since her heater wasn’t able to be on. what are the dangers? also, there is green algae growing all over my tank (especially on the coral bedding) what’s the best way to rid myself of that? because it is almost impossible to get it off of the coral. thanks–Lindsay

Lindsay, You may want to heat her back up very slowly (over several hours) so as not to shock her. That would be the only danger – any kind of shock that may have resulted from rapid cooling or rapid heating. The best way to get rid of the algae on coral bedding is to use a vacuum syphon to turn it over. These can be purchased at tropical fish stores. All the best. -Chun — In diamondbackterrapins@yahoogroups.com, “nikkicoco11
