He/she sounds fine. Most slow down and quit eating this time of year. There is no real need to cool it off but just shotened the light cycle and just turn off the tank heater if inside, and the terp will back off the food its self. The appetite will pick back up in the spring. It will still eat some in the winter, it just may be only once a week or so. I have always just fed mine as they demand… to an extent. Growing fast is not a problem unless they don’t get the vitamins they need. The pellets should be adequate as a staple diet. Treats should remain “treats”.
