Coldtail88, Sounds like a group of wild caught northerns. There is no such thing as “Easterns”. There are “FL east Coast”. I am pretty sure the vendor was using the shell pattern to call them “Ornates”. This only helps him sell them, yes lying. DBT’s may change color slightly with age but nothing like you were thinking as fish do.
