Terrapin Station at USNA/GP
I would be happy to post photos of our tagging samples, I hope by Saturday. BTW, the color range is something I am noting in the data as I believe the larger group is a flat black or a safer nondescript combination of colors. In my study site eagles have rebounded greatly and these birds have been observed preying on terrapins as they bask on the surface. Perhaps the safer colors are surviving – just a thought.
