Hi Julie, I have a UV sterilizer on one of my tanks and it works great. When I revamp my filtration system I will add UV sterilizers on all of my tanks. FYI- Tropical fish raisers that use UV sterilizers report that when the bulb wears out (every 6 months, but the light will still be on for 12), the fish have lost resistance to diseases and get them much easier. I would guess that the same holds true for turtles. I think that the chlorine in the water probably kills off much of their parasites, as most parasites have a free-swimming stage outside their host. -Two cents, Rick Jonathan Helms wrote:
