OK so I am not an expert on this matter, but I picked mine up crossing the street and brought him home to PA. (At which point I had NO idea what I had). The State of NJ like most states that the DBTs are indigenous too PROTECT the DiamondBack so if you live in NJ it is illegal to have, harvest or breed. They are not indigenous to PA so we have no law preventing us from having or selling them. I had called the PA Dept of Wildlife who cleared me to keep my DBT since I already had him. BUT speeding is against the law and …………… I hope I helped without this, some in the group can give you better detail. I was told I need a permit, Then I was told no you do not, Someone at the near by pet store said they are illegal to have. Whats the truth of it?
