When I first set up my baby tank a few years ago I discovered that I needed so many rocks to build something for the babies to climb out on that the tank was half full of rocks. So I removed all of the rocks and I now have a large piece of natural cork free floating in the water. Dbts have such large feet that they don’t seem to have any problem climbing onto the cork. I do try to find pieces that have an edge that is thin not the 1 or so inch thick cut edge all around. Now the babies have the whole tank to swim in. I also have some live plants to give them a feeling of security. Vickie
