Attachments :IMG_3897.jpgIMG_3749.jpgenhance-1.jpegHi Diamondback Terrapin Group,It is getting to be time to find a new home for my two diamondback terrapins, Dot and Dash. I know you are not supposed to sell creatures on Craig’s list, so I am not sure what would be the best way to do this. They are 6 and 1/2 years old. Dot is a really pretty female, and Dash is a cute male. They live together in an unsalted community 175gallon aquarium, and have seemed very happy together, once Dash grew out of his adolescence. Dot has been egg laying for a couple of years now, though we haven’t had one hatch yet. However, my new home is just not going to be right for them, despite my intentions to move them initially. So, I was really hoping to sell them rather than just adopt them out, because they are easy, happy pets, with a long life ahead, but I am not sure what might be the best way to get them to someone who will care for them properly. That is most important. I know that the Calif. Turtle and Tortoise Club offers listings, but I have let my membership lapse. I definitely do not want to have to ship them anywhere, but living in the SF Bay Area, it seems like I should be able to find a home locally. Any suggestions? I was thinking of asking $400 each, or both for $700. I am also looking to sell the 6′ long plexiglass aquarium where they have been kept, along with some African cichlids, so if anyone was interested in the whole kit and caboodle, that would be doable, too.I am attaching three photos, besides the one I am embedding. One is of them as babies. Now Dot is twice as big as Dash. Thanks for any suggestions you might pass along. Kate in Fremont, CA
