Anyone else read Bill Love’s “Herpetological Queries” column in the March 2001 issue of “Reptiles” magazine? He discusses the case example of the bog turtle, but it is a very interesting discussion of the realities of laws and captive breeding that could be extended to all protected U.S. turtles. Basically, he makes a very candid and common-sense argument for allowing captive propogation of the protected bog turtle. Very interesting.
