I am new to the group. I have a captive bred ornate diamond back terrapin which I ‘inherited’. His carapace appears abnormal (pitted and malformed). I am assuming he has probably had a chronic case of rot. If any of you can recommend some references for treatment or can let me know what to expect I would be appreciative. I would also appreciate a recommendation for a good filter for use with aquatic turtles. He is in a 40 gallon breeder with about 6 inches of water and a ledge he can sun himself on and dry out (so the filter would have to be appropriate for this set-up). Also if anyone knows of anyone with knowledge in the Atlanta area who might be available for a consultatioin I would like to know of them. Thank you, AMS
