Julie et al I could arrange for a volunteer experience at the Horsehead Wetlands Center. Mid May is when things get moving. My partner in the terrapin work is a North American organization and we would welcome the international cooperation. We have had Canadian students work with us in the past. I cannot guarantee accommodation on site, but we have affordable hotels near by. If you don’t mind going rustic, you may use my motor home which I will be moving on site soon. Regarding the acclimation procedure, what salinity do you establish and do you have problems with white patches near the eyes and on the limbs? I have noticed this condition in animals purchased from a market and thought it might be due to a osmo-regulation process, i.e. the salt content in the body is trying to equalize with the new ambient salinity. Any thoughts?
