She Pulled Through!!!!!

Hi all! My turtle, on the brink of death last week (and I mean REALLY on the brink of death) has pulled through. As you all said, she had pneumonia. The vet said she had an anaerobic form. She’s gotten several shots of Baytril, switched to daily shots of flagyl, and has been force fed some prescription food designed for anorexic dogs and cats. She also got a few vitamin shots. Nobody, including the vet, thought she’d make it. I left her in the fish tank for a few minutes while I cleaned out her little “hospital” (rubbermaid box) this morning, and returned to find some goldfish shards, so she’s eating again. She still floats, but she can open her eyes and kick. Vet says she’s pretty much out of the woods. So thanks to everyone for your advice and suggestions–I don’t think she would have made it without everyone’s help! Rowena
