Sick Terrapin

Hi, I’m new to this egroup. I have a 8month old diamondback terrapin who is sick. I was hoping I could get some advice. My terrapin has seen the vet, the vet said that he had an upper respiratory infection. He recieved 4 shots of antibiotics. Then a couple days following the last shot, he began having trouble walking. For about two weeks he’s been on oral antibiotics, out of water(because when he’s in water he almost drowned), he hasn’t been eating for about 4 weeks. He just recently started using his back legs again, but he hadn’t used them for about 2 1/2 weeks. he can’t walk normal or get anywhere and when he’s in water he just floats around. He barely ever opens his eyes. I’m so worried about him, but the vet isn’t helping and it costs so much. If anyone knows anything about this, or has any suggestions…I’ll do anything. thanks, Elaine
