Jimbo…There are no silly questions..(unless you’re blonde)..I have 2 Northern female juveniles in with an adult male RES (Freddy Kruger) and he never tries anything with them..he does try to breed the Florida Cooter female. I think species and sub-species will mate but not something as different as a DBT and a RES…but, I’m sure someone with more experience will chime in…I also fed my girls twice a day for about 6 months and now feed them about twice a week, but mine are fed strictly live food…Hope that helps soome
