I visited a small herp zoo today because i heard that they had some northern on display. I am still searching for an adult female so i wanted to go see if he woudl sell one to me. When I first looked that the tank I was amazed by one particular female which had a lovely blueish tint and an orange rim to her shell. But after i removed my focus from her, i noticed that there where three 5″ northerns in a 15 gallon tank filled with two inched of water. What a horrible sight. I continued to inspect the beautifull female and found that one of her plastral scutes had been removed in the attempt to control shell rot. She also had sevaral rot spots on her skin and carapace. I am so upset that this man would not sell her to me. He is a zoo on top of it and he is keeping this wonderfull species in such horrible conditions. Anyways, thanks for listeniong, I just had to blow off some steam. Julie Montreal,Quebec
