Attachments : Thank you for the many replies to the incubation question. Previously I had glazed over the underwater nesting capacity of Chelodina rugosa, but the recent reference to it got me digging into the memory banks and thinking further. In 2004 I corresponded with Damien Fordham in response to an article on his research. I’ve attached the correspondence and the article. Fordham has conducted further research on the species and has come up with some interesting stuff which you may find useful. His work on harvest models might be especially useful to Maryland’s commercial harvest of snapping turtles. Maryland is also changing the rules for collection from the wild, so any information and feedback from the list members would be appreciated. more later…. mw
