Hey! I just wanted to give an update on the “crabpot terrapins” as I now call them. I moved them today to a 60 gallon aquarium … not big enough, I know. But I ordered a special outdoor pond for them and am waiting for it to come in. In the meantime, I picked up a Fluval 205 which moves 180 GPH and have it set all the way up for now. I will set it half way in the next two days once I am sure it has filtered through really well. They are beginning to act hungry so I need someone to tell me … WHAT IS MAZZURI? I went to my feed store today and asked for it … they looked at me like I had five heads. I am thinking it would help if I knew what it was so I knew what to ask for. And am I pronouncing it right … kinda like the state sounds?? I have their water set to 1.014 which is what was recommended to me. Does that sound good for those of you harboring your guys in brackish water?? And what about hibernation? Do we recommend it for these guys? I slow my native turtles down for the winter but don’t fully hibernate them, so thought I had better ask. They are great and I will post photos soon. Thanks everyone for your help!!!
