Hi all, it is almost time for me to get my two tiny hatchling dbt’s. They are rescues from a roadkill mother. Apparently the eggs were incubated a bit hot and these 2 females have a few scute abnormalities. Don’t know if there might also be sometning wrong internally. I guess time shall tell. Anyhow, these girls are supposedly nickel sized. I need advice on their setup. I can do any number of things here and I will be going to a herp show on Sun anyway so can obtain all the stuff I need there. I have spotted turtles so I know about basic turtle care. I have also been reading up on diamondbacks. Specifically I would really like to see pics of various hatchling setups. At the moment I am thinking maybe small sweater box with uv and basking light strung overhead??? How deep should the water be and should I bother to filter it if it is only an inch deep? Again, not sure of the depth but… if it is to be that shallow perhaps I should just do daily water changes? I do have a small duetto filter I could use for a while I guess. It is submersible for like 10 gallon tanks. Any advice appreciated.
