I reccomend using a 100 watt flood power sun by zoo-men mercury vapor is by far the way to go for uva/uvb and the warranty is top notch….i don’t think there is a such thing as too much uvbanimlhelpr Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Small Business – Try our new resources site!

Hi, There isn’t a such thing as too much UVB, but you can cook your dbt if the bulb is to close or too hot for your dbt. What type of bulb are you using? If you have hatchlings you need to be very careful not to cook them. A 75 or 100 watt bulb at 12 inches could cook them. I suggest checking the basking area and make sure it is no warmer than 90F. I completely agree the mercury vapor bulbs are the way to go. You will get much stronger UVB of them. Jonathan http://www.diamondbackterrapin.comIsaac Lara
