hello all!!! I have a beautiful 6 year female DBT and a 4 year female Pink Belly that I am looking to give to an experienced or caring home. I no longer have the time to take care of them and they are not getting the care that I want to see them have. I live in Orland Park, IL just outside of Chicago, IL. I dont know if shipping them is an option. If you are interested and know of a way to ship them I would be OK as long as I am confident they will be OK. i AM NOT LOOKING FOR $$$ for them just a good home……If you live locally I would consider giving the enclosure as well for some $$$. they are currently housed in a premolded 240 gallon pond with a 4 x 6 ft deck/box. Its very nice just needs some algae scrubbing…….Please contact me if interested. I will get some pics up and going. The DBT has an overgrown lower jaw that I am getting back to normal via proper lighting and diet and thats about it as far as health issues……..She is the freindliest turtle I have ever owned. She actually likes her head petted while she floats near the top of the water! On the other hand, the PInk Belly is the most skittish turtle I have owned. They get along great. Thanks, Bill Sawilchik
Bill, I have a home waiting for one or both of the dbts! I live in Washington State. I have 2 XL waterland tubs that have wet dry filtration and sand filtration. The tubs are outside during the summer and inside during the winter. I would love to take them from you and would continue to help the one’s jaw get back to normal. They are my favorite animal and love working with them. Please consider me and know they will have a great home. Attachments : Bill, I have two Texan DBTs (age 5 years), and am located in Indian Head Park, IL (just south of LaGrange). Currently I___m in North Carolina until next week, but would love to see the enclosure. I___ve been contemplating putting something together that size. I understand the stand dimensions are 4×6?
