Hello everyone, I bought two DBT’s as a surprise bday gift for my wife about 4 years ago and as much as we love them both we have been working so hard that we are finding that we’re not giving them adequate love/attention and decided it would probably be best if someone else take care of them. I studied on this group and in books before buying them re:fresh vs. brackish and decided to try to keep them in fresh water instead of brackish water but after 6 months or so one of them came down with a pretty bad case of shell rot. I then began to add some salt to remedy the situation and have been doing partial water changes every couple of weeks or so. The other one has some shell rot as well but it hasn’t punctured through the main shell yet. We’re not quite sure how to properly rehab them but I was hoping someone here could give them a good home to recuperate in. We have them in a 60 gallon custom turtle tank which is only filled up halfway with water and has a ramp up to a sandpit built into the tank. I might try to sell the tank/stand on craigslist (unless you need a tank) but the turtles are up for grabs. We live in Hermosa Beach, CA. Anybody interested? -Andy

Hi there. I am Pete from waterlandtubs. I breed a lot of these turtles and I can ad them to my group. They would be outside with the rest of them. Please let me know what sub species they are. Thanks Pete
