Update on Eggbound DBT

I wanted to let everyone know, I did try the oxytocin injection. Two of them at the 4cc amount the vet prescribed, sorry I can’t remember her weight offhand. I didn’t see alot of change in her behavior or the bulge. The first two days she was still digging nests, now she does not. Took her on walks, she kept heading for the lake or the woods. On none of her walks did she want to nest she wanted to take an adventure run, had to take my corgi with me to help me keep track of her. The bulge where the eggs were has grown very hard and doesn’t move around at all. The bulge does seem to be closer to the tail but it is rock hard. The vet said come in anytime I want for a quick xray to see if the lump turns into one solid mass, which I’m pretty sure has already happened. I can’t imagine this lump just dissolving on it’s own. He doesn’t want to cut her, feeling that the eggs are not fertile or salvagable. He still believes they will crystalize and shrink down to at least a more surgical size. The other vet seemed to agree. I had one other vet that someone reccomended here in Indiana so I have a call in to him. Maybe mother nature will help here. Has anyone on this forum ever given their DBT more than 2 injections of oxytocin and at what intervals. Thanks Lisa
