Does anyone have experience with or information on removing fish hooks from terrapins? Is there any truth to the statement that fish hooks will be ingested then disintegrate and therefore should be cut off at the mouth? I have found several terrapins with old hook injuries and some with the remnants of hooks still in place, but I have never found one freshly hooked. Advice appreciated. mw Marguerite WhildenThe Terrapin InstituteP. O.
