Ok, I need some help from the experience breeders here… The second baby from the second batch just came out of the shell. What a mess! The shell is small, there are fused scutes and the tail looks like a pig’s tail. Do you think any of these three things will get better with age or do you think hell always be a freak? I would much rather cull at this age then at 1-2 months. I will try an take a picture soon ( Ijust found out that my bday present from my b/f is a CAM! I have only been bugging him for two years for one! ) Julie Tougas P.S. I removed the large bitmap pics and replaced them with jpegs.

Julie, Unfortunately these kinds of abnormalities do not improve with age. They tend to worsen depnding upon the kind they are. I had a redfoot hatchling with a hairlip when it hatched and I thought it might grow together as the tortoise grew but the gap only widened. Are the eyes, nose and beak okay? Vickie
