    Rich and Chun thanks for the info about freshwater snails. Another question. . . If a young dbt appears to not be basking should it be forced ie. put the little squirt into a tub or container with heat emitter above? If so, how often and how long?     Francie…dont fret about the basking…he will bask when he becomes acclimated and decides it is a nice place to dry off and get warm. Let nature take its course. Just make sure the terrapin can climb onto the basking site and make sure it is dry with the correct temperature. In addition make sure you have proper lighting. Dont force them to do anything …just provide the right ingrediients and it will happen naturally. Rich
