Attachments :image.jpegimage-12130.jpegMy wife bought some dbts but I don’t know what subspecies. Believed to be centrata. The colors of two are lighter but the shell shape of the darker is a little different, more flat (for lack of propper term). Anyone skilled in identification? I can post more pics as needed. I’m trying to sell one male 3″ or so, sad but bc wife is c/o lack of space for another tank and in fairness these guys need lots of it. As you can see the top turtle biting the 2 tank mates in a 40 gallon. They are about 3″ now raised together fresh w mostly commercial foods. Thanks. Jeff

Can you send some plastron shots. They look to be just regular Northerns. Unless you have locale specific it would be hard to say they are Centrata.Connected by DROID on Verizon Wireless—–Original message—–

Definitely. Northerns would sound right as these turtles were definitely lower priced. Here’s the photos of plastron of the darker and lighter turtles (in case they are even different?)JeffSent from my iPhone

Hi Jeff,It is so hard to say for sure if they are northerns or centratas. The skin and carapace patterns these guys have can easily be found in both subspecies. My guess would be that they are northerns as a huge percentage of the diamondback terrapins sold are Northerns.
